ALS Limited Acquires York
In 2024, York Analytical Laboratories joined the global testing company, ALS Limited, to accelerate growth of their environmental testing services in the Northeast U.S. “The acquisition of York Analytical enables us to grow quickly in the fast-emerging northeast U.S. environmental marketplace, where there continues to be significant investment in major infrastructure programs and widespread PFAS contamination issues,” says Malcolm Deane, CEO and Managing Director of ALS Limited.

York’s Continuous Expansion
2023 – In January, YORK completed the largest acquisition in the company’s history with the addition of two “sister” laboratories in Toms River, NJ. (click here for more) Precision Testing Labs is expert at ground water and soil analyses and Precision Analytical Services is the largest NJ laboratory specializing exclusively in drinking water analyses and sampling services.

The PFAS Environmental Laboratory of Choice
YORK is the first-ever laboratory in NYC to be licensed by NELAC to analyze volatile organic compounds in soil and water. Approved for TO-15 Air analyses in late 2016 and PFAS in early 2019, these expansions increase YORK’s capacity to handle “Rush TAT”, as well as increase the company’s presence and commitment to be the New York City environmental laboratory of choice.
Our Roots
With roots in air monitoring that predate the creation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, YORK built custom mobile laboratories. For three decades YORK chemists and engineers worked from the Stamford, CT laboratory on countless high profile projects in the fast changing industry during this time.
