Senior Management
Michael J. Beckerich
President & Northeast USA Environmental Regional Manager I ALS
Michael Beckerich is the client-service focused Owner-Operator of a best-in-class team of senior environmental professionals in eight locations across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Beckerich became President of York Analytical Laboratories in 2017 after 10 years as head of client service and business operations. Under his leadership York Analytical Laboratories has doubled in size and opened five new facilities in the tri-state region, including NYC’s first PFAS and TO-15 air testing laboratory.
Prior to leading York Analytical, Michael was a Senior Communications Director at pharmaceutical giants Johnson & Johnson, Warner Lambert and Amgen. For Amgen, he was responsible for crisis management, served as a national media spokesperson, and provided counsel to senior executives and world-renowned medical experts on policy issues at public hearings in Washington, D.C.
Beckerich left the corporate side of the biopharma industry when he was recruited to open the NYC office of a prestigious, independent public relations firm specializing in biopharma marketing, with oversight as well of its San Francisco operations.
He is a proud graduate of Villanova University where he earned a B.A. in political science and served as captain of the Wildcats Big East baseball team. Michael resides with his three daughters in Nyack, NY.
Rich August
Vice President, Client Services
Rich has an unprecedented level of experience that allows him to provide clients with meaningful and timely guidance related to planning, implementation and review of sample analysis projects.
With more than 35 years of experience, Rich began his career on the bench and progressed through a variety of key roles in managing the laboratory. His first-hand lab experience coupled with an intimate knowledge of the regulatory complexities surrounding sample analyses give him the breadth and depth to provide clients with answers they can always count on.
Rich is the first line of contact for any new pricing requests.
Rich graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a B.S. in Biology and has completed Master’s studies in environmental science from the University of New Haven.
Rich is an avid hockey fan, player and coach and “suits up” in a competitive men’s hockey league.
Kevin Liddy
Treasurer & Vice President, Finance
Overseeing all financial operations, Kevin is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis. His background includes positions of increasing responsibilities in both publicly and privately held companies and ranges from work in the healthcare industry to venture-backed technology start-ups.
A resident of Pearl River, NY, Kevin holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Iona University where he graduated magna cum laude.
In addition to being an avid NY Ranger fan, Kevin is a history buff and enjoys spending his time outside the office with a good read in hand.
Jon Walsh
Chief Technology Officer
Jon has extensive experience in custom database development and custom client data interfacing and reporting. Jon has over 30+ years of lab experience as a technical and operational manager, as well as on the bench. In the last two decades, he has specialized in LIMS administration and development. Jon has also engineered and patented air analysis methodology and hardware systems. His presence in York Analytical Laboratories’ Queens Laboratory is important as York Analytical grows its Emerging Contaminants and Air Laboratories.
Jon is a 1983 graduate of Syracuse University with his degree in Chemistry.
Outside of the lab, Jon finds most of his spare time spent on his pursuit of mastering the art of sailing.

Scott Hall
General Manager of Laboratory Operations
Scott joined YORK direct from a west coast EPA laboratory where he led a group of 11 technicians and chemists. Scott has an impressive background of progressively increasing experience in a variety of analytical, client facing, and operational management roles for a number of global chain network laboratories. Of special note, he spent six years in Bangkok, Thailand as Director of Operations.
Scott is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a degree in Environmental Chemistry.
Cassie Mosher
Laboratory Director (Stratford, CT)
Cassie joined York Analytical Laboratories’ team in December 2020 as Organics Manager and was quickly transitioned into a broader role as Laboratory Director for the company’s flagship laboratory in Stratford, CT. She comes to York Analytical with over 30 years of experience at prominent environmental laboratories in Rhode Island and Massachusetts managing Organic and Metals departments. In addition, Cassie worked as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry gaining valuable experience on a wide array of instrumentation and analytical systems.
Cassie graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Environmental Science.
In her spare time, she enjoys dining out, vacationing in Aruba, and is also an avid New England Patriots fan.
Vinicius (Vini) Bandeira
Technical Manager (Toms River, NJ)
Vini co-founded Precision Testing Labs with Mark Feitelson in 2000 and built a strong customer-centric groundwater analyses business.
As a member of YORK’s team, Vini has served as Laboratory Director of the Toms River, NJ facility and help lead efforts as York Analytical expands in New Jersey.
Vini is a graduate of Wartburg College in Iowa, and received his Master of Science degree from Montclair State University.
Tony DeCarlo
Wet Chemistry Supervisor
Tony joined York in 1999, starting in the Extractions Department, before moving to the Wet Chemistry Department. He graduated from Western Connecticut State University (WSCU ) with a B.A. in Biology focusing on Ecology. Prior to joining York, he worked at Environmental Monitoring Laboratory in the Bioassay Department.
Tony is a Yankee and Rangers fan, follows progressive rock music from bands such as Yes, Genesis, and Pink Floyd among others, and enjoys working on his house and garden.
Stephanie Brathwaite
Organics Manager
As York’s Organics Team Leader, Stephanie’s hands-on skills and superior managerial experience is a big asset as she works with a new chemists staff manning the various organics groups.
A scientist at Pace and American Analytical Laboratories prior to joining York, Stephanie has over 15 years’ experience in a variety of roles including: organic sample prep technician, organics extraction supervision, VOA analyst, GC and GC-MS analyst, data review and organics management.
She graduated from Stony Brook University with a BS in Biology where her interest for laboratory work began.
In her free time, Steph can be found indulging at neighborhood restaurants or raiding the snack cabinet with the family. On Sundays, Steph can be found watching Scott Hanson on RedZone with “7 hours of commercial free football” while also secretly raiding the snack cabinet.
Sarah Widomski
Quality Assurance Officer
Sarah is engaged in all new regulations and quality standards. She coordinates laboratory accreditation activities and monitors and maintains York Analytical Laboratories’ Quality Management System.
Sarah has over 15 years of experience in the environmental field, working in a variety of roles including report production, sample control, GC analysis, and as organic extractions manager. Sarah attended Southern Connecticut State University where she majored in chemistry and minored in mathematics.
Outside of the lab, Sarah is the music director at her church, a Justice of the Peace, and loves to garden.
Chip Cray
LIMS Administrator
Chip is an expert on YORK’s high-powered LIMS system (Promium’s Element) as well as database management and software development, two areas increasingly critical to the environmental laboratory industry. This knowledge and experience, along with many other previous roles in management and directing of Information Technology in Hawaii, Colorado, California, and North Carolina, adds unique firepower to YORK’s growing IT operations.
Joe Ravino
Laboratory Director (Toms River, NJ)
Joe Ravino joined the York Analytical New Jersey team to lead the development and management of the Toms River laboratory facilities that York acquired and expanded in 2023-24. Joe has helped unite the two existing laboratories under one certification and has led the additions of certifications for PFAS and other analyses. In Toms River, he oversees a laboratory staff of 25+ and works in conjunction with client services teams to ensure best practices for laboratory services and reporting functions.
Before joining York, Joe worked as Organics Director in charge of a large staff of chemists at a well-respected regional laboratory. Prior, he served as Quality Assurance Officer with a focus on Organic analyses. Joe also spent seven years at a large national laboratory’s NJ facility working in several departments in both analyst and supervisor roles.
A New Jersey native, Joe is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a B.S. in Biochemistry.
Kelly Hogan
Quality Assurance Officer (Toms River, NJ)
Kelly served as Laboratory Manager of Precision Analytical Services for 20 years before York acquired Precision in 2023. In his role of Quality Assurance Officer for the newly expanded Toms River operations, he maintains the company’s Quality Management System, is engaged in all new regulations and quality standards, and coordinates laboratory accreditation activities.
Kelly has over 25 years experience in sampling, analytical, and supervisory roles in all departments of the laboratory, and has a robust knowledge of Drinking Water Compliance and private home well water issues.
He has a BA degree in Environmental Science from Gettysburg College in Pa. Outside the lab, Kelly is a voracious listener of all genres of music and an avid home gardener.
Michelle Onofrio
Technical Director, PFAS Team Lead
Michelle Onofrio leads the production and growth of PFAS at the Queens (NYC) and Toms River (NJ) laboratories. Michelle also works closely with the rest of the leadership team to maintain and enhance certifications, operations, and quality.
Michelle was previously the Organics Manager for an environmental laboratory where she managed and expanded a team of analysts and helped improve processes and procedures throughout the lab. Michelle believes that efficient and productive laboratories require a team of active leaders that listen to the needs of their clients and employees.
Michelle earned a B.S. in Chemistry from The College of New Jersey and a M.S. in Marine Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (William & Mary). As a South Jersey native, Michelle is an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan. Outside of the lab, her hobbies include running, skiing, and golf.

William T. Watson
Accounting
Bill handles all of York Analytical Laboratories’ accounts receivables, accounts payable, payroll, and a cache of other accounting activities. He is in constant contact with billing departments of our clients and vendors to ensure invoices are being processed appropriately.
Bill brings a wide range of experiences from non-profit theater to international business consulting.
Bill is an avid race fan and fisherman. He crews for a racecar team which races in the New England area.

Patty Werner-Els
General Manager, Drinking Water Operations
Patty joined York Analytical Laboratories in 2016 as a Client Services Director with a focus on New York City and Long Island. With more than 25 years in the environmental laboratory industry, Patty most recently served Chief Science Officer at a NYC-based water treatment company, and as President of a Long Island-based environmental laboratory, where she grew with increasing responsibilities from the bench to the front office.
Patty is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
A fanatic of live music, Patty is an avid concert goer, with her favorites ranging from Elton John in 1977 to Eric Church in 2019. She is an active volunteer at a woman’s shelter on Long Island.
Lou Russo
Client Services Director
Lou Russo is a Certified Professional Geologist with proven project management skills in the environmental consulting industry. He contributed and managed projects including extensive, multi-disciplined investigations. He has utilized strong technical skills and industry experience in the acquisition, management and reporting of environmental, geologic and hydrogeologic data. He has extensive experience working with laboratories and analytical data.
Lou earned a BS in Geology from SUNY Oneonta and a MS in Hydrogeology from Wright State University. He serves on the Village of Port Chester, NY Board of Education and is involved in other volunteering activities.
Dave Marrero
Client Services – Chief of Staff
Dave joined YORK in 2013 and quickly became a go-to person for efficiency, both by clients’ field personnel and in the lab. His expertise in mobile communications and logistics operations grew YORK’s best-in-class courier service as he led the development of a custom software for YORK’s field services management. Clients now schedule sample pickup and bottle order deliveries directly from the YORK website.
As Field Services Director, Dave focused on perfecting client experience and achieving a seamless operation between clients in the field and the many moving parts of this growing laboratory. Now, as Chief of Staff, Dave is building processes for talent acquisition, onboarding and training/cross-training and reestablishing a support system for new and existing employees.
Dave earned his B.S. as a graduate of Alliance University. He and his wife have four children that they’re homeschooling, and they provide mentoring and counseling for college students, young married couples, and young parents.
Kristin Lopez
Client Services Manager
Kristin joined York Analytical Laboratories in 2016 in the organic extractions department before moving to metals analysis. Prior to that, she worked at a prominent asbestos testing laboratory for several years. Kristin’s skillset includes a task-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
Kristin received a B.S. in Geology from SUNY-Plattsburgh, and loves spending time with her two children and her 18th century house, which she and her husband have spent the past five years restoring.
Kim Karcich
Client Services Manager
New Jersey native Kim Karcich joins York Analytical with more than 12 years of experience at a well-respected New Jersey laboratory working with clients in a variety of key areas including chain of custody review, reporting, technical guidance, pricing and project planning.
A graduate of Ramapo College (NJ) with an environmental science degree, Kim is an avid hiker, enjoys bass fishing with her husband, and loves to cook Italian dishes.
Allison Bennett
Client Services Manager
Allison joins York Analytical Laboratories with several years of client service experience at one of the largest environmental testing laboratory networks in the nation. Allie has honed her skills working with clients from diverse industries throughout the tri-state area. Her attention to detail and technical knowledge paired with a strong client focus yields successful project outcomes.
Allie earned a B.S. in Marine & Environmental Biology & Policy from Monmouth University.
When not assisting our clients, Allie is an ardent fan of all things hockey (Let’s Go Rangers!) and Formula 1 racing.
Jenna Pitta-Daniels
Client Services Manager
Jenna joined York Analytical in 2021 and has deep customer service expertise in environmental laboratories. Before joining York, Jenna was Supervisor of a Sample Receiving Department for 4 years, and managed a team of ten people including login staff, couriers, and the bottle kit preparation department. For the last three years at York, Jenna has been a Project Manager, a role in which she develops strong working relationships with all clients based on her attention to detail and knowledge of their needs.
Jenna graduated from the University of Stonybrook (SUNY) in 2016, earning her B.A. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Marine Sciences.
In her free time, you can find Jenna at New York Islander games or at a local concert. Jenna loves all types of music and enjoys seeing artists play live. You can also find her at the local karate school, as she is 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo.
Nicolette Lovari
Client Services Manager
Long Island native Nicolette Lovari joins York Analytical Laboratories with a broad scope of environmental lab experience ranging from sample login to project management. She has worked closely with multiple clients in the tri-state area and successfully assisted them with a variety of larger scale projects. Nicolette is focused on problem solving, working efficiently, and delivering excellent customer service.
Nicolette graduated with honors from SUNY Farmingdale, earning her B.S. in Bioscience with a minor in chemistry.
On the weekends you can find her working at her local farmers markets selling her own handmade crafts, exploring local LI breweries, or venturing out on a scenic hike.
Lea Sherman
Client Services Director
In 2022, Lea joined York’s Richmond Hill location with multiple years of Project Management experience in an environmental laboratory. She’s highly focused and detailed in handling project scopes and client inquiries. Lea values building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through quick response and clear communication.
In 2024, Lea took on a new role at our Stratford location as Client Services Director with a focus on York’s Sample Receiving Process. With her knowledge of the industry, Lea works with our Log-in Technicians to ensure projects are set up correctly from start to finish.
Lea graduated from SUNY Buffalo, earning her B.A. in Environmental Studies. In her free time, you can find Lea at the movies or sports games rooting on the New York Mets and Rangers.
Debra Bayer
Client Services Manager
With over 35 years of extensive experience at a well-respected Hudson Valley, NY laboratory now part of a prominent national chain network, Debbie worked closely with clients in a variety of key areas including project management, data package reporting, sample receiving, field service, training staff, etc. Debbie is now on the YORK team of project managers with a focus on her specialty – drinking water analyses and permitting.
Debbie is a graduate of SUNY Delhi with a degree in Business Administration.
Tom Altenburg
Field Services Manager
Thomas joined the York team in 2019 and manages all aspects of the “York Force” from the Queens (NYC) location. He manages all aspects of the Field Service department including bottle order fulfillment, deliveries, and sample pickups. Thomas utilizes the proprietary York courier portal to ensure field services runs in an efficient and timely manner. Thomas is always available to address last minute schedule changes and develops the best plan of action to ensure the client’s needs are met.
Thomas received a B.S. in Environmental Science from Queens College (CUNY).
In his free time, Thomas is a martial arts instructor at an academy in Forest Hills, with a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also enjoys hiking, traveling and watching the Knicks/Jets play.
Shanna Bonaparte
Reporting Group Leader
Shanna has over 20 years of administrative experience and applies her skills to lend a hand wherever needed. She joined York Analytical’s Client Services at the front office in Connecticut in 2008. At that time, her role was divided between generating reports and creating data packages. Three years later, as York Analytical Laboratories grew and the demand for data package production increased, Shanna’s role in the front office became finely focused on data package production in 2011.
In her time off, Shanna enjoys time spent with her daughter, family, and friends. Shanna indulges her passion for reading and is subscribed to almost every book site out there.
Kristina Blocker
Sample Receiving Manager
Tina has worked in the environmental business for over 15 years at various laboratories as a Sample Control Technician, PCB Analyst, Sample Control Supervisor, and Project Manager Assistant. Tina was part of a team of technicians who mobilized a temporary laboratory in Houma, LA during the BP-Deepwater Horizon oil spill (2010). Before joining the York Analytical Laboratories Report Production Team in 2018, Tina worked in the York Analytical Sample Custody Department.
Tina has a love for all animals and she is a volunteer at her local animal shelter. When she isn’t working at the lab or volunteering, Tina is also a pert-time dog walker and sitter.
Doug Bertel
Client Services Support
Doug has worked in several environmental labs as a technician in extractions, metals, semi-volatiles, and volatiles, He has help oil field jobs as a mud logger and environmental inspector on oil and gas rigs in OH, PA, and WV. Doug moved to Connecticut and to York Analytical Laboratories in 2012. He worked in the lab for three years before joining the Client Services Team.
Doug graduated from Cleveland State University with a B.S. in Environmental Chemistry in 2006 and a M.S. in Geomicrobiology in 2011.
Growing up in Ohio, Doug was captain of the high school swim team, class of 2002.
Giovanna DeLoca
Project Manager
A well-rounded individual who has environmental experience in and out of the lab, Giovanna has years of experience in the microbiology lab primarily focusing on drinking water and wastewater analyses. She has excelled in client service functions from bottle prep to project management including supervising sample receiving, bottle prep and field technicians.
Matthew Nemeth
Project Manager
Matthew is a highly detailed project manager who has years of experience in client service. From heading inter-regional projects with other environmental labs to handling clients bottle order drop offs and pickups, Matthew is dedicated to providing clients with exceptional service.
Matthew graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural resources. On his free time, you can find Matthew hiking on trials throughout Long Island.
Alissa Ruccatano
Client Services Manager
Alissa joined York after over a decade of project management and client service at environmental labs of differing sizes. Alissa quickly worked her way into management roles by focusing on the most important aspects of business: client satisfaction and business analytics. Her success is driven by her understanding of what matters most to each of the clients she has worked with, and retained, in previous positions.
In her free time, Alissa loves spending time outdoors (especially at the beach) with husband Les, daughter Scout and extended family. When not outdoors, you can find her and her family cheering on their favorite sports teams – the Dallas Cowboys, NY Mets and New Jersey Devils.
