In September, YORK announced installation of unique new technology in the form of a Mercury Analyzer which provides very low detection limits and increased data quality control features. We like it so much, we acquired another to stay ahead of recent increasing demand for this analysis in the NYC Metropolitan area.

The rapid analysis time (less than 10 minutes per sample) dramatically improves YORK’s ability to service client needs. The system enables the operator to analyze for mercury in virtually any samples matrix: liquids (water, waste-water, leaches, digestates, oils, organic liquids), solids, and gasses.

YORK reports aqueous samples down to 0.05 ppb and soils down to 0.03 ppm. YORK maintains certification for this technology by NELAP (NY) and Connecticut. The EPA method is described in EPA SW864 method 7473.
