In October 2023, York Analytical took over a first-floor laboratory suite previously occupied by a medical laboratory and installed new PFAS instrumentation and prep area to maximize its testing capacity. Several four-day rush projects for PFAS in soil and groundwater were completed in December for both New Jersey and New York work.

The Queens crew gathered for a festive holiday party (pictured below) and end-of-year strategic meeting in one of the new sections of the lab on the first floor. Once completed, this area will house our new client reception area and centralized sample collection.

The additional laboratory space doubles the Queens laboratory operations and allows for easy in/out accessibility for clients and couriers for drop off and pick up of samples and summa canisters.

In 2016, York Analytical made a landmark investment in Queens, opening NYC’s first TO-15 air and volatiles testing laboratory. In 2017, York began managing PFAS sample analysis for clients working in New York State. In October 2018, in the existing facility, York built the first dedicated Emerging Contaminants laboratory in New York City, which was certified by the NYS DOH and approved in January 2019.
