York-ALS has brought on two new senior leaders for its Northeast business expansion — a new Laboratory Director for its flagship NYC PFAS laboratory, and a industry-leading LIMS specialist.

Hemex Patel
Hemex joins York as Laboratory Director in the Queens, NY laboratory, overseeing a best-in-class PFAS operations and 20+ team members. Hemex’s impressive background reflects more than 30 years of high-profile positions at national laboratories in all facets of laboratory operations: Laboratory Manager, Senior Environmental Product Manager, Department Manager and Inorganics Manager.
Hemex has an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and earned his B.S./B.E. in Chemical Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University in India.
Frank Brand
Frank Brand joins the York-ALS team with 30+ years of experience in the environmental Industry, with industry leading expertise in LIMS implementation, optimization and customization.
Frank has led the implementation of laboratory software at over 50 laboratories worldwide and has developed various customized client-specific applications, some of which were incorporated into the LIMS product.
Frank’s professional experience also included ownership of an environmental lab with a specific focus on GCMS analysis. He earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Monmouth University, NJ.
