York Analytical for the 4th consecutive year was the music sponsor of the rock’n’roll-themed fundraiser for the New York State Council of Professional Geologists. The annual Geology Rocks is an industry networking event unlike any other, raising essential funds for NYSCPG operations including government lobby efforts and student scholarships.
2024 drew the largest crowd ever and featured a memorable rock’n’roll show by the “Led Stones.” Companies and guests could sponsor a song in the 2-set playlist of 20 tunes. The band, led by Dylan Kelehan, first delivered a classic rough and tumble Rolling Stones set. Then, they ramped up the evening’s intensity with a raucous eight-song Led Zepplin set. To cap it off, they encored with the Allman’s essential “Whipping Post” in honor of the passing of guitarist Dickey Betts.

The York Gang was out in force to support their colleagues in the industry, and bring a little energy to the dance floor. “We’re honored to continue to support the Professional Geologists Council and the great work it does in the industry,” said Michael J. Beckerich. “Geology Rocks puts the fun in fund-raising, and it keeps getting better every year – the music, the crowd, the networking.”
